As far as I know, these climate change conferences like all other international conferences are just ways to further the sphere of influence of the diplomats of respective countries.. The westerners know they've seriously eff'ed up the earth in the process of their Industrial Revolution.. So now they want to stop other, weaker economies from doing so, so that they remain the 'apex predators' for the rest of the time... Everything else is just hogwash, bs...

The earth is not really as warm and messed up as they make it out to be. The principle of global warming was cobbled out of the Milankovitch cycles theory which pertains to climate change. The truth about climate change is revealed the moment one starts reading up on & doing some research on the Milankovitch cycles(considering both sides of the story). End of the day its just about that extra penny/cent of tax that these scum can squeeze out of our pockets in the name of saving the earth.
