dog asks for a beer

A dog walks into a bar and orders a beer.

The bartender tells him, "we don't serve dogs here, get out before I shoot you".

The dog replies, "come on man, lighten up, I'll sit in the corner and be really quite, I won't bother a soul. I just want one beer".

The bartender takes out a gun and shoots at the dog hitting him in his front foot. The dog high-tails it out of there before the bartender can get off another shot.

Two years go by when the dog comes back to the bar. This time he's got the black hat, black shirt, black pants, black boots, black chaps, two pearl handled guns and a bandage around that foot. As he walks through the swinging doors the whole place gets real quiet just like in all the old westerns. He looks around real slow and says in a deep gravelly drawl...

"I'm looking for the man who shot my paw"

the dog was shot in the foot ie the paw, which also sounds like American cowboy way of saying pa ie father

its clear as mud.
