new shotgun stock

The stock of my DBBL gun is broken,the but has to be changed completely and also some minute metal work has to be done.................could somebody tell me where can I get this done in Bangalore, which gun dealer.........please advice..............and also how it would cost approx.............

In Bangalore the only reasonable ppl are KOVI shop- which is in JP nagar
phone no - 26588485.
If i'm not mistaken they do have some Walnut stocks available.
you can call and check.

I spoke to kovi shop they are in the proces of shifting their shop so they said it would take time for them to get wallnut and it would cost about Rs 5,000 for the wood ....................Mine is a 20 gauge DBBL gun since the cartridges are not available I CANT USE IT ANYWAY, SO FOR NOW i have droped the idea of geting a new stock ............thanks for all the help folks

20 Guage is being made by IOF if im not mistaken. maybe you can pursue a dealer to order some on your behalf.

I did ask the dealers about the ammo they said it has to be ordered in bulk 500 cartridges....................I dont want that much another thing is that even if you buy and stock so much of ammo ...............shotgun cartridges have less shelf life so whats the point.................................

Metal work has to be indeed done by some one who knows the stuff. PM me and I will give you one good contact. If you sit on his shoulders, you can get great work done
The wood/stock work is not a problem, In Bangalore, you will find lots of semi-skilled artisans, especially in wood-turning and such works, who can easily replicate stuff for a few hundred bucks

Have fired twenty year old IOF ammo,went with a bang....ammo has a long shelf life...it's about how you store your ammo...any fire arm without ammo would be just a wall hanger...

I agree with Sanjay. i have fired ammo which was purchased in the 80s and they worked fine.
Depends on storage and also put them out in the sunlight a couple of hours before you fire them.

Thanks for all the information....................TenX right now I am not going for the new stock I just wanted some info which I GOT IT FROM U..........you can send me the number or address of the stock maker ..........or else when I plan to get a stock made I will let you know......................thank you Sanjay and Sniper for the amo info I wil try to get some ammo...............
