hi guys last month i started to look for a anatomical grip for my hw75 in the net but in vain,it wasnt available off the self,the ones who cud custom make one cud not be afforded,thus i started an ambitious project of making one myself ,i had a piece of old wood from a window frame lying, long back when i had replaced them with al frames.Thus started the ambitious project and had to face a lot of brickbats from the better half,but finally came up with something that fit my hand better than the one came from the factory,the swiss knife was worth it specially to complete the work,heres one pic of what i cud fair in the last couple of weekends.

nb-as usual to share the project with members here always brought me cheers and rusty's earlier works on stock and wood work were always informative and also a close look of jonah's 46m grip brought me some ideas to do the adjustable bottom support.

have no idea about the type of wood,but it came out of that brown painted wooden block u cud seen in the pic from an old window frame,the wood was quite hard to cut though since i was planning to do it with one block of wood and no joints,and good part is it has some nice grain pattern.,about looks part well! but hey the grip has improved a lot.

Hi Sanjiv,

That's a rather innovative palmswell you have created.

Is the palm shelf adjustable in terms of height or just angle?

The fly nut looks a bit odd but I suppose it would preclude the need for an allen key.

To check whether the grip fits correctly, take a felt pen and mark a small circle in the centre between the knuckles and first joint of the middle, ring and little fingers of your gripping hand. Grip the unloaded pistol and point towards a mirror. If the felt pen marks are aligned and directly line with the trigger blade, then it's a job well done. If not, it's back to the work bench.

Either way, it's 10/10 to you for sheer initiative and a well finished grip.

yes that wing nut i thought just in case i didnt want to carry an allen key,the bottom piece adjusts both the height and the angle.

no idea on the wood guess something very hard,had a tough time to file,picked it since i cud find some nice grain pattern in an unused old window frame .
anyways the design is again changed,included a thumb support and stippled the related places.
