info regarding reboring .22 lr barrel

i was told by an arms dealer, that reboring is possible in lucknow. rings have stared developing in the tip of the barrel resulting in ridiculous inaccuracy. please advice.

If it's just a few inches from the muzzle, have the barrel cut and recrowned.

Are you asking about re-lining a barrel? Reboring properly means re-chambering to a larger caliber.

Mack The Knifes advice is sound, if you have barrel length to play with. If you do not have the length, or do not wish to disturb the sights another strategy to try is to simply bore out the muzzle end to .25", which effectively can move the muzzle crown into the undamaged area. If you are unsuccessful in getting any greater accuracy you can still have the barrel re-lined. If you do try this, make sure it is done propely on a lathe and not by hand as that will almost surely result in unsatisfactory results.
