Trinidad State College in Colorado offers short courses :
http://www.nragunsmithing.com/trinidad.html
Each course is priced separately and taken during June and July however these will only give you a grounding in gunsmithing - suitable only for the amateur.
For a two year degree course see :
http://www.trinidadstate.edu/degrees/AAS/gunsmith.html
The Colorado School of Trades offers a 14 month full-time course with accreditation :

Other US colleges also offer part-time and full-time courses.
The Trinidad degree course is recognised as the best gunmithing course available in the US.
To learn fine gunmaking in the European tradition a five-year apprenticeship is required - these are VERY sought after and every gunmaker has a waiting list of people who wish to enter the trade.

Contact the colleges direct for more information - as I said, the Trinidad degree course is the best, the best known and longest established gunsmithing course in the US.
To find other courses in the USA try a Google search.
I know of no other country that offers gunsmithing courses.

Re: gunsmithing course or school
The books and manuals that Brownells offer - especially the collated Bob Brownell articles are the best that I know of.
For shotguns W.W.Greeners books are still the best ever written......even though they are WELL over 100 years old.
Gunsmithing generally IS NOT an `easy` pastime. If you don`t know what you are doing you can do an awful lot of damage.
A good percentage of every gundmiths work is correcting the mistakes of enthusiastic amateurs......and you can guarantee that sorting-out a balls-up takes more time and costs more money than fixing a problem from scratch.

It`s a good job that your memory is a lot better than mine Vikram because I`d completely forgotten about the Ferlach School. Another subject that Mehul raised previously.
Yes, the Ferlach School has an excellent reputation - the only problem ( perhaps ) is that the gunsmithing course is concerned with the building of fine guns in the European tradition rather than general gunsmithing.

Hey guys,
I has mailed Trinidad Junior college, Mr Speedy Gonzalez got back to me
"Parag,
We would be happy to have you enroll in our summer courses. No firearms are required unless you have a specific project you wish to work on. I have included a copy of the courses offered this summer. What type of firearms interest you? I am also a mechanical engineer and love the precision of modern bolt actions and the components required to deliver sub 1/4" MOA accuracy out to 1000 yards. Let me know and well get you fixed up boss.
Happy New Year,
Speedy Gonzalez
