Dear Friends,

Today for some work I visited a steel, iron wire shop and there I saw a 3mm dia. 24 inch iron rod, the shop keeper told me its a 3mm Tilliii and it was very much fit for cleaning a .177 caliber pistol/rifle and its price was Rs. 10, its a superb cleaning rod and works very fine with G. Smith Klin Shoot Cleaning Wads and gun oil, have a look.....

Hi Suraj,

I appriciate your search.Perfact diameter and straightness.But as far as the metal is concern,iron rod shuld'nt be used for cleaning gun barrels because it can damage polish of inner surfce of barrel by making scratches due to it's hardness.In my openion It would be rather better to use the alluminium/copper/brass metal for rod.
