Switch Cleaning Oil

Hi,

Can we use switch cleaning oil used in electronics in air gun washers springs etc?

i din't think you can.it will make the washers hard.use gun oil only.

Hell no, not gun oil. You will need moly grease for your air rifle spring or james maccari's spring tar.
You can at most use 2T oil or silicone oil or grease for the seals and o-rings.
Normally, you can get pure silicon grease at electronics shops in small containers. Do a search, this subject has been covered with people discovering that photo copier grease is silicone grease.
Please don't use any gun oil for air rifles, it will corrode your o-rings/seals.

This is correct Dev. For all rubber components / washers / o rings. Silicon grease should be used. You can get the Dow Corning Silicon grease in India and they have different grades suitable for various uses.

Petroleum based grease or lubricants should not be generally used for rubber components.

You can at most use 2T oil or silicone oil or grease for the seals and o-rings. ( you mean piston seal and breach seal--)
silicon grease---- Where to apply this?
