What is wood grain...

Post by kanwar76 » Thu Feb 14, 2008 3:03 pm

I am sorry for this kind of adolescent question but this is something which has confused me a lot and I am a firm believer in “stupid question are those which are never asked”

So here it goes: What is wood grain.. Is it small pores on the wood or the lines on the wood, so one need to sand in the direction of these small pores or lines on the wood. If somebody can explain with pics that will be very nice

Be kind please....... :D
