Just slide foward or backward using thumb pressure only it will do the job. Do nor pry with any tool,it will ruin it.

Give it a tap on the back with a piece of wood. Sometime they are too tight to be moved by thumb pressure.

This is what I tried next after pushing with thumb pressure did not work. Doesnt work!
Couldnt move it even a milimeter. Dont want to tap any harder. I wonder if there is any other system holding it other than the slide? I could see a hole through the groove towards the front. Could this be a lock mechanism?

Well, you tried. Without seeing it I can offer no other advice. Yes, there could be a transverse hole through the ramp, with a small tooth on the hood to hold it on securely. In which case you would have to pry it out slightly with a small screwdriver while tapping it forward.

Precisely! Thats how I think it is attached. However didnt want to try the prying it out part
Will proceed with it once I have figured it out.
Thanks for replying to my query. Truly appreciate it.
