IHP35 compression chamber
Today i polished the compression chamber with 320 grit sandpaper for 15 minutes,but still there are lots of irregularities,need some help on these.

Over Polishing may increase the dia by micro mm.
Polish with little water or Kerosine[wet polish]....
it will be enough....do not overdo..................

polishing is completed but still there are lots of black dips (as in the pic),is there any method to fill these.

Dear najad,
Most of the IHP has this problem.
You can never remove all scratches of the receiver.
Max you can smoothen the surface which comes
in contact with piston seal.
I loaded the receiver on lathe and using 220 grit
and keroshine polished the inside.

Can the polishing of the receiver be done at home by myself, if so what can be the best way to reach the depth of the receiver with sand paper in order to make a smoother polishing.

Dear sathya,
IHP use EN-20 grade steel in their products.
I found it difficult to hone by hand and quite tiring.
Local guns are generally made of MS so much easy hone by hand.
This is my personal experience.

1. Dismantle the action of the AR & take out the receiver...
2. Wash it with kerosene & wipe it dry...
3. Take preferably a 1 1/2ft wooden rod 10mm to 12mm in dia and wrap one end with steel wool to fit the ID of the receiver...
4. The other end fix it to a hand drill - apply a little machine oil to the steel wool and run it through the internal of the receiver from top to bottom 4 to 5 times...
5. Repeat this with 800 grit sandpaper instead of the steel wool....
6. Clean the receiver with kerosene & wipe it dry....
7. Have the receiver fully black anodized (internal & external)
> This is what I did to my IHP35 which was renamed as Samurai 3G....(3G = Looks Good, Feels Good, Shoots Good)
