I suppose it could be done. Dont know of gunsmiths in India who can do it. One route is to just order the stuff and do it yourself. There are a lot of resources on the net that deal with the subject, and it isnt difficult to do.

Pradyumna: What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Even if you assume that those steps would improve the accuracy of a .22 RF rifle, do you have an unlimited supply of high quality .22 Rf ammunition of different makes available? Sandpaper on a wooden dowel can easily free-float the barrel, in case the forearm is bearing unevenly against the barrel. But be sure to seal the wood surface again after thus removing the finish (which your IOF may not have). You are not going to find the "pillars" any place, they are simply thick walled spacer tubes, bushings, of aluminum, epoxied into the stock. Anyone with a lathe can make them. But you should have a drill press to drill the stock to accept the bushings.

Dr.Jayakumar : Thanks for the link. But no amount of theory is going to help me. Like you I understood nothing. Most of the rifle nomenculture is not understandable... forgot about doing it myself.
