how can chequering be made

hi,
i have .22 brno mod 2.
in that there is no chequering i dont know why,i bought it this year.
is there any way to make chequering?
if there is please let me know,my rifle would look beautiful and i shall
learn something new.

> Any good carpenter can do it - if you show them the pattern (you have to detach the action & give them the stock)

Hi brihacharan, it would help all those of us who want have chequering done if you could post a sample of the corel-draw file, I am barely computer literate myself and have no clue how this is done

no carpenter can do gud chequering go to a good gunsmith not that "katta " maker type gunsmiths or send the stock to me ill make it for u

If you plan to do it yourself, practice a LOT on dummy pieces of wood first before you do the stock itself. Please keep the rest of us posted on how it goes.

Also, looks like you would be better served partnering with Brihacharan and use his method. Also, my suggestion would be to find the shops that make the kashmiri style furniture, display cases etc...
