Hi Amit,
I managed to get a low cost $ X Scope from EBay, India for Rs. 1100/- plus Rs. 50/- for post. Vendor claims it is TASCO, but it does not have any marking on it. On web search I found it is modelled after NCStar.
In any case, it seems sufficient for my IHP National 35, 0.22, although I have to still find time to mount it.

It will almost certainly fall apart within 500 shots or less... As MoA states, with glass (as with most things in life) you usually get what you pay for on top of that spring piston airguns are especially punishing on scopes! At the lower end I would suggest you consider at the very least one of the
airgun rated scopes from BSA/ Nikko Sterling/ Tasco (aka Hawke) etc... there is no real limit as to the higher end scopes, but even there be cautious about what you buy, as not all are airgun rated! What will work sweetly for a high powered centrefire rifle may very well fall apart double quick on an airgun!
