These are some rare .22 cartridges from my grandfather's collection. Had never seen before such rare cartridges. My grandfather expired on feb '04 and he has given all his rare cartridges collection to me on my B'Day on Jan '04. Just look at it and give me some knowledge regarding these cartridges.

Since there are no reference points and the photo itself is not very clear,I can only make a guess. The first one from the right appears to be a .22 miniature followed by .22 short, then .22LR and the last one appears to be a .22 WMR.Some of the other better informed members would be able to tell you about them more correctly.A clearer picture and a scale for reference, would also help.

danish,
it looks like a 22 CB cap or BB cap, 22 short, 22 long , 22 long shot load i.e. #12 or dust shot for snakes, and finally 22 LR.
Guys did I miss something..... these cartridges are available very easily wit some private parties in Bombay.

I have a collection of .22s but cant make out from the picture...
The first one is a CB cap, the second is a .22 short, the third is a shotshell (dustshot), the ones after that are all .22 longs, the last one is a .22 LR.
Hope I am right

What happened to the BRNO Model 2 that your Grandfather owned ? Was it sold or it is with you ? And who took his .275 7 x 64 mauser rifle ? He had shot many a Leopard and Cheetal with that in the 1960s 1970s.

TC is almost right. Left to right....cb,short,dust,long,long rifle, again a long rifle, Long Rifle with heavier then 40gns bullet and the last one is a .22 WRF (Winchester RimFire), predecessor to WMR (Winchester Magnum Rimfire). I am open to corrections, of course.
Cheers!!!!
