Gentlemen,

Is it advisable to use high velocity .22LR ammo in a Hi Standard model 'B' pistol circa 1942 ? There are reports of the frame of Hi Standard Victor 107 developing a crack because of the HV ammo.

Now model 'B' being a much older model might not be safe with HV ammo or did they make it strong enough ?

best,

RP.

Wouldnt advise it.
If you do want to shoot HV sell it and get a newer pistol.

There wont be any problem,,1or 2 exceptional case can happen ,,but over all it is a strong pistol..

You mean if a gun blows up or worse, it should be treated as one of those 'exceptional' cases. We should ,therefore carry on,ignoring that possibility
