Anyone for a bore light?

My friend picked up one recently and when I saw it I asked him to get me one as well.
These are now readily available at hardware stores.
It has a flexible neck to bend the LED based light, a red dot pointer and is magnetic. It runs on 3 LR44 cells.
Cost can vary between Rs.300 odd to Rs.120.00 depending on the shop, so shop around.

What's a bore light? Is it used to look at the fouling in the bores more closely?

What would happen if a person accidentaly switches on the laser pointer and then looks down the bore
Take care,

Mack The Knife, that reminds me of the warning that goes "DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO LASER WITH REMAINING GOOD EYE"!
I just got a few of those this summer, talk about a global economy now!
Actually the one I have the laser has a momentary btton and the laser diode is built into the body of it and not on the flexible head.

It's the same with this one, Mark.
