Reintroduction of the 12 Bore Paradox Slug
Posted: Mon Jun 02, 2008 5:08 pm
Holland and Holland had ceased the production of Paradox guns from 1931 oneards to its re-introduction in 2007.
For the new Paradox guns, a modern slug based on the same design is developed and produced by The Hull Cartridge Company of UK for Holland & Holland.
The older brass case is replaced by a red plastic case now.
It is a 28 g slug backed with four Dram Eq. of powder. Tests prove it is quite sufficient for Deer Sized games and Wild Boars upto 100 yards.
It is proving to be very popular in woods close to populated areas as a safer means to Deer population control.
More details on the reintroduction of the 12 Bore Paradox will be covered in a seperate article. That will require a bit more time to write.
