Which scope is best suited for IHP35(.22")?. will it be available in India and at what price?

why are you starting another topic when you have already asked this question before? specially since if you look over past posts, you will get all your answers.

as for the IHP scope, any springer rated scope, (look in the past forum posts for the types) will do, except that you will need to get grooves/dovetails cut. once agin look in past forum posts for experience from members who have had this done.

as for price, how big is your wallet? usually, a good springer rates scope will cost you more than your IHP

you can use a 4x20 scope costs rs 2500

This 4 x 20 scope does not produce good results nor can it sustain long term regular work load of 100 to 150 shots per session.

It is frequently thrown back, creeps back or the cross hairs misalign.

It is for starters / kids use mostly on low power air rifles. IHP is rated medium power, it might work fairly OK on a cadet rifle like IHP 25.

A better Air Rifle rated scope is required.

@Shahid bhai: Which scope do you suggest? I want to get one for my IHP35 with GSmithSpring and Washers. the same should also work on the Gunmark 350 (very similarto Diana 350).

A friend is visiting shortly from Abu Dhabi and he'll be getting it for me. I have no knowledge of the shops in Abu Dhabi. Do you know any?

I was surfing the net and came across the new Gamo-springer rated scopes,which have glass reticles instead of the normal wire ones.I think these will hold up better on your springers.I am sure u can get these in Dubai iso of Abu Dhabi.

Reticles etched on glass can also break. What matters is how the reticle or the glass on which it is etched is mounted within the scope.

Learnt something new here.I have a glass etched reticle scope made by Konus mounted on my BSA,and she is holding out after 30 pellets.Hence just presumed that they are tougher than the wire reticle ones.

What is your budget. With scopes you pretty much get what you pay for.

I use a Baraska on my .22 and regularly shoot about 1000-2000 rounds a month. No issues.

Want a really good scope? Go with Sarvoski for a hunting style one.
Want a more serious one? Schmidt and Bender or Nightforce or Leupold.
Cheap and will not break? Falcon Menace.

Most serious shooters, at least in the BR or LR game tend to spend more on the scope than the rifle.

Baraska is a good scope. It last for long. I am using it for couple of years.

A rough rule of thumb is that you never spend more than half the cost of the air rifle on the scope. IHP's are mild recoiling airguns so pick up a leaper's air gun rated scope like the bug buster and be done with it.

I have heard about the Chinese made air-rifle scopes being avaliable in Delhi.
These are being sold at 1500/- to 2500/-
Can anyone from Delhi throw more light on this.

can you shed more light on this. i know from one IFGian's experience that they did not last on his hw97k. what is your story, and which air rifle was that?
