Holster for a Colt New Service
Holsters for S&W large frame revolvers are aplenty and available across all price points and styles. When it comes to a Colt New Service it is slim picking. So a question. Is there any holster meant for a S&W revolver that can be used to carry a Colt New Service with a 5.5 inch barrel?

I take it that you are not inclined to carrying a 5.5 in barrelled Colt NS as a CCW .
Because I do carry a 6" barrelled N Frame S&W in a flap holster that I made.
If your requirement is for a generic belt carry for range or other use such as open carry, then there are ww1 & ww2 flap holsters, leather and canvas, made for the Webley & Scott MK VI, the S&W HE Mod.1 & 2/ M 1917 and the Colt New Service (original and replicas) and may serve your purpose. There are several websites selling militaria that you can try and also amazon.
Most of the above were designed to fit all the above revolvers since these were used by the USA, Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand in a some what "get and use what you can" scenario.
Hope this helps,
Anand

Anand, thanks for the reply . I have seen those but I dislike flap holsters.

I wonder whether a holster for an N-frame S&W would work? They have a similar shape and size, but I don't know whether they are close enough for holsters to work.
