Re: Boresighting a Scope
Bkmarks55, if the shots are hitting 4 inches away but always in the same place , then your scope is alright. If the shots are spreading in a circle of 4 inch diameter , then there is a problem with the scope or with your mounting. At 20m, the scorpius will put 5 shots that can be covered with a 1 rupee coin with iron sights.
You mentioned 4 inches away, but you didnot mention whether it was left or right or up or down. Once you see that the pellets are going at the same place, you can zero the scope to you aim point.
There is a ton of information on google and youtube about how to mount a scope and how to zero it.
Boresighting is just aligning the scope with the barrel so that zeroing it becomes easier.

Re: Boresighting a Scope
When you start using scope in off hand position, it makes one too cautious about cross hair to position perfectly on the target.
This can make you breathless at times.
I found scope is effective when used on bench rest and i never found it easy in scoot and shoot action .
Nothing can match open sight with little wider V , which allows more light around target.

Hi sam
THanks for you words. I understood what you mean. The pellets are falling to the right of the target and falling on the same location may be give or take few cms.But almost the same spot...I will change the turrets tonight and check how it goes tonight...Now i understand that there is no problem with my scope as it shoots around the same area...all i need to do it adjust the turrets towards my left...Thanks for your words sam much appreciated.

You are welcome bkmarks. After 500-1000 shots, please mention whether it keeps the shots on the same place. If it can handle the recoil of the Scorpius it will be able to handle recoil of most Indian springers. I am seriously considering buying one.
