Welcome to IFG!

To my knowledge the cartridges you mentioned are NPB.

I really doubt, with the possible exception of some very old .45LC ammo, you could find cartridges for the other two.

AFAIK, many .455 calibered Canadian revolvers have been rechambered to .45 Colt by simply deepening the chambers. So they would still fire .455 Ammo. So I am guessing that a revolver chambered in .45 Colt would probably chamber and fire .455 ammo. On another note there are at least 3 rimmed cartridges that are designated ".455". The restriction is on any Revolver or Pistol that can chamber and fire .455 Rimmed cartridges. Since 454 Cassul is an elongated " magnumized" version of the .45LC it too would probably fall into this Prohibited category. I don't know the cartridge dimensions of the .460 S&W well enough to comment on it.
hope this helps,
Anand

Mr Hashmi,
Most state police, especially the Arms Act departments in the metros of India, will consider the 45 Long Colt a prohibited bore. Why? Please don't ask me because they think every 45 is a 45 ACP. My observation over the years. Others may differ.

Also, 455 is still considered a prohibited bore by most licensing authorities though this round is obsolete and not used by the cops anymore.

454 Casull and the 460 are not prohibited as far as I know but I don't think any of them would be easily available in India since only a handful of people, if at all, would be having handguns that chamber these rounds.

Cheers

TC
