The Ordanance factory has recently revised the price of 12 Bore Paper Tube Cartridges by approx Rs. 7/- The retail
price of the cartridge would now be approx Rs. 57/- + VAT = Rs.64.12. Looks the increase in price of petrol has had
a direct effect on the price of 12 Bore Cartridge. If IOF has increased price of Shaktiman cartridges would surely be
incresed.

Sahebs,
Everything is getting a price hike, petrol, food, restaurent dining, parking, cars, water, electricity (except income), why not ammo.
We are just waiting to experience "everything that goes up ....comes down", maybe
Cheers

Well the sad part in Indian scenario is that when things are legitimately expensive the prices go up. But when the goods prices actually come down, the merchants don't reduce the price and reap the extra profit. May be we need a stricter regulatory body.
So in Indian scenario, whatever that goes up very rarely comes down.

Most of the Eley top of the range cartridges are about Rs.600 for a box of 25. Middling range Eleys,RCs,Fiocchi etc, cost about Rs.450 a box.
A box of Eley TenX and match grade 100 .22lrs costs about Rs.2750-2500.
A kilo of shotgun powder costs about Rs.2000.
Ammo is expensive and so are guns.Gun licensing is very liberal but they cost. Mostly due to the restrictions on exporting guns and ammo to Georgia which is still viewed as a conflict zone by EU.
But, nothing compares to our motherland.

Eh, I think it's government's tick to decrease gun owners by raising the price so very few can afford it. The same trick is used by some countries' governments in case of cigarettes and sometimes alcohol. They tax it highly to discourage people from using them but actually it just encourage smuggling.

Prices are running at par with that of petrol - always expect it to go up never down.
Pellets - our diesel counterpart

friends,
when the politicians and the officials have no job to do,they raise the price of anything they come across.
as said petrol price and ammo is going hand in hand.
best is to learn reloading,if you are a serious shooter.
god save us.
