Just curious.

Here in the middle USA, it costs about $20 a pound for genuine black powder. There is a "black powder substitute" named "Pyrodex" that costs about $15 a pound.

Anyway, I was just wondering if people can post how much it costs locally, I thought it would be interesting.

Cheers,

Mark

Thanks for the information Jonah, converting that would mean that the US powder would sell for 591 INR/250 G and your powder here would sell for $5.09/Pound.

Interesting! One quarter of the price from across the globe - the rest of the cost I am sure is accounted for by packaging charges, advertisement and presentation! Hmmm...

That's free market economy for you - You've gotta love it! Mark-up only what the market can take (read - is willing to pay / how much is it worth to you - kinda logic).

Hello everybody,

It costs much more here in France. 69 Euros for a kilo of Swiss Black Powder. The French BP costs about 23/24 Euros for 500 grammes. For competition shooting, most of us use the Swiss BP because it is cleaner and fowls the barrel much less than the other ones.

best regards

About 65 Euros a lb for Swiss FFFG a little less for the Vectan crap. Dont use pyrodex since it is rubbish. I do make some from time to time... but is not worth the effort or results.
I do use duplex loads with FFG an N133 in my .45/70
