friends have we discussed about scope mounting ?

can someone having experiance help ?there seems a lot to do with the measurements...thanks for all .

Hmmm.... mounting a scope? Would not that count as 'optics goods abuse' besides being infinitely more difficult than the most difficult position in the Kamasutra Sorry, could not resist that.

There is nothing difficult to mounting a scope. Attach the rings, ensure you have sufficient eye relief, make sure it isnt canted and tighten the rings.

My typical routine:

Put the rifle on a bench set up. Remove the bolt and look trhough the bore to ensure I can see the target.
The without disturbing the rifle peer through the scope and see if I can see the target. Adjust scope, repeat exercise.

The Target I use is a standard 100M target, mounted back to front with a small shoot n see target pasted on it @ 100 m.

Now once I can see the target through the bore and the scope, remount the bolt. Load a round, aim at the shoot n see. Pull trigger. See where the bullet impacted, and adjust scope to the hole.

Aim at shoot n see and see where the impact is. Typically am done in about 4 shots. Adjust the knobs for Zero stop, if the scope has that functionality. If not use marker to mark it.

I do it the same way.... and works always... !
