i have tried to procure .32 IOF rounds , but i find that they are not available and heard that production has been stopped. Is there going to be a price rise or is any cartel hoarding the stocks to create a artificial demand? Friends pl inform about availablity and prices

Yes to both. The NRAI had .32 rounds but some enlightened souls must have already picked them up.

.32 has suddenly become an 'IB' impossible bore. No more stock of .32 ammo here in Mizoram too. We should sue the government of India and its Ordnance factories for unnecessarily putting citizens in harms way due to the unreasonable control of ammunition of arms that they allow citizens to own for self protection.

NRAI has KF .32 S&W Long (revolver) ammo in stock, which I believe was being sold by them for a little less than INR 30/-. This was May 2011 production, so IOF/ KF is most certainly manufacturing them and also selling the same to civilians.
It's possible that dealers might be hoarding their stocks to artificially inflate ammo prices.

Have been wondering why the revolver cartridge manufactured by the Indian Ordanance Factory at Pune is cheaper than the 32 pistol Cartridge. The revolver cartridge is just about Rs. 38 the pistol Cartridge is nearly Rs. 60...why this difference in rate...The price should have been kept the same...

If you have an adequate quota endorsed on your license, it might be cheaper to take a trip to Bangkok or Dubai and buy ammo.

IOF is still manufacturing 32 Rev/Pistol rounds, but now they are releasing less to dealers, earlier dealers used to pick up 100,000 or less as per as there business license, that was after 2/3 years of booking but now IOF releases 10,000 or less after the same duration of booking, its not just 32,its for most of the calibers produced by IOF,its a new way for further strangling the legitimate guys.
