Hi Mack,
I am in Lucknow right now, a bit busy because of my upcoming M.D. Exams...Will post the pics of my Rifle as soon as I reach home (Ranchi). Will get in touch with a gunsmith and try to work on the scope mount as you have demonstrated.

What you saw is not the only or best solution, so post the pics when able and perhaps we can come up with a better alternative.
Perhaps you missed what I wrote in my first post about disliking the contraption as it ruined the handling. So don't get stuck on the idea that you have to scope your rifle. Open sights are great fun and very satisfying to use.
However, if you have never had a scoped rifle, I can understand the itch to try one.
