Let us see what other members have to say about the ways to keep 12 bore paper cartridges in "reliable" condition for a long time. 12 bore plastic case cartridges are also available.
BTW it is not 12 mm, it is just 12 bore. 12 bore in shotgun means if we take a lead ball that will fit exactly into the barrel, then 12 balls of such size will weigh one pound. Hence 12 bore. Similarly 10 bore shotgun will have a larger diameter than 12 bore or 20 shotgun because 10 lead balls will weigh one pound. Similarly 20 bore shotgun will have smaller diameter than 12 or 10 bore shotgun because it will take 20 lead balls to weigh one pound.

Re: How to care for .32 Cartridge
Sealant ( in this case, nail polish ) at primer and air tight polythene bag (multiple would be batter) should take care of 12 Gauge cartridges for long time.
packing should be done in non humid weather to avoid moisture getting trapped inside the bag with cartridges, If one must do it in humid days, air conditioned room would be a batter place,
Main idea is, keep moisture away , any practicle technique could work.......
hope this helps

gb_m: Not 12 "bore", but 12 gauge. If we give advise, let's make sure it is correct. Only the .410 bore is that, it measures .410". All the others are gauges. Despite common (incorrect) usage.

Kudos , this is exactly what I have read in some forensic science book. No doubt IFG is ocean of fire arm knowledge.
