I am interested in the purchase of 6.5 x 54, recently we have acquired a Manlicker rifle of this calibre. Must be RWS.

Price no problem, will take his entire lot.

Dealers Like Tahir Arms and Ilahi Baksh do import cartridges. What they sell for Rs. 150 to 250 per piece is often retailed at prices as high as Rs. 400 a round.

This was my purchase price for 25 rounds of .375 flanged for a double rifle, later last year the same dealer liquidated his unsold stocks to me at Rs. 165 a piece Kynoch Ammo, all 175 rounds left with him for there were no buyers at that price in Eastern India.

One can well imagine the margins. I would myself like to open an arms dealership in my retirement, the margins are excellent in a controlled market!

This was the first time when I read that someone had paid that price for these cartridges. Maybe your deep pockets might have got you this price. Had you bargained it then the price would it have been that much..........the dealer must have been more than happy to see you as normally you rarely find a customer for this ammo ...............

Whatever is the correct spelling but everyone understands which make.

Art Collector - you know Patna dealers too ? Who has .375 mag H & H flanged cartridges ? and what make Kynoch ?

Central Gun house of Salam Sb. has some stocks these days of 5 to 7 ear old vintage.

Shahid Bhai,

Its not 5-7 years vintage ,........these were manufactured in 1924.....that would make them quite old.

They will not fire so really of very little use.
They will not fire / hangfire, so really of little but ornamental use.
