Post by Young Tiger » Sat Oct 07, 2006 6:54 pm

Hi Folks.

I just bought a William Evans oak & leather brass-cornered gun case
Its in good shape, leather looks old and dirty and is torn from one or two places , inside lining is good and the trade lable is in good condition aswell

Any suggestion?

Jingalala~!

Young Tiger, do you know a friendly cobbler ( shoe repairer ) ? He could sew up tears in the leather and repair rotten stitching. To clean the leather use warm water with a little detergent in it and a stiff scrubbing brush. After it is dry use a pale coloured wax boot polish applied with a cloth and buffed to a shine with a boot brush.
