Just out of curiosity......if gun imports are banned from 1986, then how would people repair /replace malfunctioned gun parts????

Is import of gun parts for licensed gun holders of foreign make also illegal????

I have seen posts saying that it was Rajiv Gandhi who banned gun imports ......but when i goggled, little info was obtained, any one know the whole story????
