Rifle scopes & gun sights fall in the "restricted" list for imports. That means as an individual you cannot import them directly via post, though you may be allowed to carry them back with you while returning from overseas. As a business it means that you need an import license for commercial imports.

Spotting scopes, binoculars, ordinary astronomical telescopes may be imported without need for an import license and can be ordered online from overseas. You will of course need to pay the applicable duties.

DO they ask for the arms license when scope is bought back...i mean the custom guys
