Can i get a Katana in luggage

Hi guys,
I have finally convinced my brother to get me a Katana from Singapore. I have no sword wielding skills
. Its just for showoff. It will be on display in my room. Does anyone know if there are any legalities involved in getting a sword in luggage. It will be a normal sized katana with its stand.
