Indians For Guns

Hello everybody,
My late father bought this great fishing tool about 14 years back. I remember he once fished with this in a muddy river where the fish were very close to the surface.
Here are some Pictures of the Harpoon Gun.
This is a precharged Pnumatic (PCP) & needs about 100 pumps to pep it for a good 15 shots.
Does anybody have a similar product? does anybody know what it would be worth?

Forgot to mention - either of the heads can be screwed on to the shaft.

A plactic lug on the shaft (now missing) was there to fix a cord to retrieve the shaft.

I had seen a similar product in bali at a adventure store. They called it a fishing gun.

Shamsher, there is some sort of a screw fitting at the bottom of the trigger guard. Is this some kind of 'Trigger Safety' ?
A very nice collector's item; first time I saw such stuff; How far would you think the harpoon would go on full charge?

Very good, i saw a similer fishing guns last year in a shop but it did not had such attachments.

I remember the projectile went almost 60 yards
it was fired at about 30*

in another instance it was fired in the ground & we had to dig it out as the ribs spread preventing the spear head from being pulled back, exactly what it is designed to do.

the little blob in the trigger guard is extra plastic to make the guard sturdy.

I could lend it to you if you intend doing underwater fishing at the Wasi !!!
but first, you need to show your underwater dress & the scuba tank. - LOL

There's no fun fishing with such a spear gun. Guess the good old Hook-Line-Sinker strategy is best to enjoy fishing

On the WASI stretch it is strictly rod and reel.

just cleaned it & stored it back - will clean it again maybe after a few years.

Firstly, its a rarity, to still have one of these in working condition. Next, since no one probably makes them, there should surely be a 'Antique' value attached to it

There is no mention about this in the rule books.

Definatley, an air gun - no licence required.

No Idea how paint balls would work on these.

This was bought for 12K almost 15 years back.
It still works like new, I tried it today.

I am sure these are still made - although i have not spotted them on any search over the www.

A lot of these scuba divers carry these for protection against sharks etc.

This is not old enough to be called an antique. It's a very rare item for the Indian market.

I have matchlocks more than 500 years old - those are antiques

Stuff the paint ball into the muzzle and fire with low power setting .. may be??

You have matchlock(s) more than 500 yrs old??? wow.. I think we all should visit Hyd for a tour of Shamsher's house (I should say museum)
