Nice one.
How did you bring it to India?
Some rust also noticed, clean it with steelwool and coat with WD40.

Got it many years ago when I shipped my stuff on TR.
I cleaned it with some Ballistol but there is still some rust where the leather sheath contacts the metal. Will try some abrasive and oil it again.

Don't use Ballistol oil for cleaning,
My method of cleaning is, generously sprayed WD40,kept for min 24hours and then scrub with 3M Scrub Pads. That's all.
For storing, I use thin coat of WD40.

Avoid storing for long time in the sheath, especially if its made of leather. If at all you do, then wrap the knife with a thin layer of salad wrap after oiling it and then insert it in the sheath. This has proved pretty successful with my 100+ odd knives.

Thanks for your advice for storing, still my knives have no sheath but leather was purchased for making DIY sheath.

Yes, that's a good idea. The storing in sheath appears to have caused the rust.
