And to imagine I passed by this shop and didn't buy anything... I think the size of the damn thing scared me off,with the whole legality about the blade length.
. However the shopkeepers claimed that you can freely bring in a khukri from nepal.

Nice web site and a nicer warning about copyright too, reproduced below.
"Stealing is a serious offense and a crime. Therefore if anybody is found using our materials he/she will face very strong legal actions from Khukuri House. Remember we have the full legal rights and we meant it."
