Finally cleaned, rubbed and polished my favorite Khukri, though it still needs some work. The result now is the hard work of one month.
It has a 13 inch blade and is 7.5 mm thick at the heaviest portion near the handle. It is a heavy thing and feels good and well balanced while handling.
The blade has some engraving on both sides, that my simple camera can't capture. One side is a peacock and the other side engraving is probably only a design or something that I can't figure out.

Walibaa, it is not custom made but I bought it ages ago and it was not easy to find. There were regular Khukri's available in abundance.

I also don't know but I have read over here something to the effect that the local administration can put restrictions on sharped edged weapons. But I do not carry a knife around so it doesn't matter to me.
I have a few full sized swords, sword sticks and knives that are more than 9 inches long.

Nice blade Atul. What does the insignia with two Khukri stand for?

Thanks Zombie,
The lower curved portion of the insignia just has 'NEPAL' embossed on it.

Atul,
That is a very nice khukri.
Thanks for sharing.

Loin.heart,
It does not make sense in having a license for a knife. You are allowed only 3 weapons on a license, so it is better to go in for fire arms instead. Unfortunately that is the truth for India.
