DYI Knifemaking: Bowie Machete

Hi All,
Had this bowie/machete project in mind for some time, based on the gargantuan knifes used in movies "crocodile dundee" and the "predator"(one with Arnold). Finally found an agreeable piece of spring steel and got to work. I've scaled the knife to overall 14.5 inchs (blade 9.5 inches+5inch grip) and tried to balance the COG slightly forward from the hilt to amplify its chopping ability.
The grip is wood and epoxy over a true full tang.
here are a few pics of the blade at this stage (blade cosmetics are pending)
Comments and suggestions are most welcome...!
cheers
