Hi All,
A recent experimental grip job on a couple of my blades.
I have used treaded latex which provides great anti slip hold and can be replaced/removed with ease.
Pls have a look and also share your experience if you have tried something similar...

Nice work! Where did you get that latex?

I have experimented with tennis wrap and cricket bat handle covers, but they come in colours which look horrible on a knife!

Got the rubber from a friend who runs a small unit making cricket grips. It was in sheet form before they roll it into tubes, hence was able to pick the black sheets only. They alternate different colour patches and heat join them into tubes for bat grips.
Was able to get the raw material before the patching process.

That looks very good. One thought about having that kind of rubber on the sheath: If you went to some sort of inside the waistband sheath (or holster for a gun, for that matter), the sheath would be very resistant to removal when the knife was unsheathed. It seems like this could really be an extra feature of your idea.

I echo the other comments, you work looks very nice here.
