Me too. I was looking at this type of material to make grips for a 1911.
This opens up all kinds of possibilities with different kinds of fabrics. Anyone got an old pair of camo pants?

Thanks, buddy! Now I know what to do with those jeans my son outgrows so fast! Now for a big pack of Araldite.......

an example of a home made denim micarta. i used an epoxy with better flow characteristics than araldite, though!
