Brilliant idea! I am sure you'll find a lot of customers / reviewers here!
As for legal process, you can try contacting people who import knives - like the folks at oliveplanet, outdoortravelgear, lightorati, etc. I believe there is no industrial scale producer of quality outdoor knives in India (haven't come across one myself). You can also try speaking to the kitchen knife makers / importers like Godrej Cartini, Anjali, etc. Maybe the guys at Precihole would also be able to give some guidance.

hi abhishek,
i am based in navi mumbai. we have our own in-house laser cutting and sheet metal fabrication set up. we currently do a lot of jobs for various saw blade and cutting tool manufacturers. we have worked with various steel grades, though the final finish is done at our customers end. the thicknesses we work with are typically from 0.1mm upto 10mm for the blades. i have done a couple of knives of myself and close friends... i'd be glad to help you out in any way possible...
cheers,
kshitij

Hi Mr Kshitij,
Very impressive piece of art indeed. Just three queries about this piece.
a. Thickness and grade of steel used
b. Is it up for sale and if yes,for how much ?
Sorry for the second straight forward one,but can't help it.
Regards

Thank you. Glad you liked it.
A. Thickness was about 5mm. Steel grade was SS316, he didnt intend to use it on anything but just wanted a show piece that wouldnt rust. Normally have CR65, 75CR1, SS316, 420HC, 440C and SK5 in the workshop.
B. Its not up for sale because i have already gifted it to some one. But since he stays next door, i can always get it back to show you guys.
C. Its free. Or actually its worth a couple of beers

Hi marksman_dd,
Glad you liked it.
I do not make/design these for commercial purposes. Made that one for a close friend.
Cheers.
