My blades

Here is a picture of some of my knives. It also has some of the knives I picked up in France. Among the folder, the rightmost is a Laguiole rustic, a traditional French shepherds knife, 3.5 inch blade and horn handle. There is the traditional fly on the spring allright and the damn thing costs a small fortune. Among the fixed blades (horizontal) the third from top is a F-S British commando knife, made famous by the SAS. This one is a copy. The genuine ones with brass handles sell for over 500 euros. One of these days. The fourth from top is a Leopard Bowie. 11 inches and very well balanced. A bit too big for use here in Europe, but it's all business and I guess will not be too out of place in Africa. The small blade on top is Cold Steel Urban Mate. The sheath can be stitched to inside of belts and boots. The smaller vertical knife is one of the sharpest blades I have ever handled. Damascus steel with full tang, brass handle with supposedly red sander inlay. I have no idea who made it but it is one hell of a blade.
