Wow !! What a collection

Day before yesterday one of our IFGians , Abhi11, came to my residence.
I insisted him to visit the Puja Mandap but he very modestly refused to do that.
He was carrying a school bag, hanging on his back.
After a little chat , he opened his bag and having seen the collections my jaw dropped.
He has 1600 blades at his disposal.
He purchases not less than 2 of each blade.
I was told the the Khukri was taken out from water after a year.
This he does to test the material . At times he buries them for years and then takes our.
He seemed to me as a shy guy but I sincerely request him to come out of that and share his
awesome collections.

Namaste Briha Ji....I donot collect knives based on the type of activity they can perform, my collection is solely based on "if I like it "looks" , I buy it" also I try to buy 2 pieces of every blade that i collect....1 piece goes in collection unit with the other one I try all sorts of odd stuffs, eg: submerging it in water for a year.... putting it in acid for hours, banging the sharpen side on limestone....

All they blades I have till now are max length of 9 inch, max width of 2 inch & price range between Rs 150 - Rs 1100, also all of them are fixed blades. none are folders...

I also had a few swords ( had to give away them as I don't want to get in legal troubles)

Adding up to my collection , i will be getting a suriken ( wife gifted) shortly...& I am looking for some god throwing knives....

Tomorrow I will be visiting the so called knief market in kolkata....lets see what i get...

It was nice to meet you too abhi. Hope we could have spent some more time. I am still in kolkata and the data connection on the phone sucks. Will upload once have access to a pc and stable connection.
btw for info for others. We both bough a chinese machete of 14 inch blade. Not the best quality but the biggest I could acquire.

Btw, I dagger I grabbed from the shopkeeper, its really cool one, tried all possible testing with it & it passed, but the machete broke into pieces....lol
