There , is atleast I know one , small smith co that makes things for Cold Steel .
For business reasons , I cant disclose the real name but it is in Dehradun .

I became satisfied after talking etc with the CEO and have put an order for a Cold steel Bushman . Lets see what happens and compare it with the original Cold Steel Bushman .

I just received my 2nd Cold Steel knife a few days ago, the Espada XL, its a mean knife!

What are they charging for the bushman?

i do not think that they will sell real cold steel approved items to others as this will end their market with cold steel.

I am not sure if they are manufacturers. Might be a stockist. As never knew of a knife branded made in india.

if they are stockest and have the dealership then CS site would confirm that. most of CS are made all over the world. And as producers they will have singed an undertaking not to sell to others etc am sure of this.

Yes you are right . That's why I cant name them here .

Will start a new thread to avoid any confusion on this thread and have innocent bystanding folk thinking that I got my little CS puppies from the local manufacturer in question here ;p

AFAIK, Cold Steel does not have any permanent makers here in India. The Dehra Dun based company may have been doing job work for them. Neither do they have an importer/ distributor, although one particular firm in Bombay has been importing small quantities from them irregularly.

You are absolutely right .
CS often goes for agreements with smaller co in various parts of the world ( specially in Chaina and India ) to make some specific items and it lasts still they both are satisfied .
Few years ago they had a good manufacturer in India ( Once Khukri , some swords were made from them ) .
Now there are still atleast two companies in India ( I came to know of one through any really reliable source ) that make things for CS .
Lets see till my Bushman ( bw ) arrive . But Im sure it would not cheat me ...

What about the cost? You didn't mention how much are they charging.

I have gone to them through an unavoidable source . ( The CEO claimed only the manufracturing cost .)

The CEO informed to pay 780 / including postage only if I become satisfied with it !
