Are these knives Legal in India??

I was searching information regarding self defense weapons on Internet and found two interesting knives!
Ballistic Knife:
A ballistic knife is a knife with a detachable, self-propelled blade that can be ejected to a distance of several meters by pressing a trigger or operating a lever or switch on the handle. Contrary to its name the blade is propelled by the kinetic energy stored in a spring instead of gun powder. It's not a firearm...basically works on similar principal of a springer airgun! But still, it is either restricted or prohibited in many countries

I also checked ebay.com and found that there's one up for grab...but alas without blades!!

Wasp knife:
Wasp Knife is a trade name for a large knife that contains a cylinder of compressed gas in the hilt. When stabbing a subject about one cubic foot (or 28 litres) of gas stored at 800 psi is rapidly injected deep into the wound site. These basically marketed keeping in mind deep sea divers to protect them against shark attack
It's up for sale on knifecenter.com for $499.

Now, my questions to learned members are:
1. Are these knives (ballistic/wasp) just a marketing gimmick or they do offer some kind of advantage over regular knives in self defense situation?
2. Are these legal in India?

Disclaimer: before someone flame me for planning/advocating to use these straight out of comic book knives in real life self defense situation!! Let me clarify, it's purely a theoretical question...I have no intention of buying/using or doing anything with these knives
