Indians For Guns

I have been collecting blades for over 40 years and though my focus has usually been usable knives both fixed and folder, I have picked up some beautiful old knives along the way, these too are very usable but for sentimental reasons I do not carry them any more.

In this post I will share my love for edges, I would welcome comment, questions and additions to the information that I have. I have a brief write up and a picture for these knives. I am only including some of the more unusual and beautiful. Many of my knives are ordinary commonly available ones like the SAK, and Leatherman and SOG multi-tool, knives like these are not worth putting up. Enough bhashan, please enjoy the pics and write ups below.

Mind telling us what is that red tinge on the Finnish blades? Is it a reflection?
Please keep the photos coming. But I am sure the story associated with each blade is more interesting.

The reddish tinge is my T-shirt reflecting! Yes you are right the story behind the blades is each a tale in itself. Maybe over a dram or two.

Briha, the K-e-H is a very unusual award must be early 1900s? And Military Cross, wow, right next to the Victoria Cross. Do you the medals? If so pics would be lovely. Which campaigns?
There's little men won't do for a medal and a bit of silk. But that is what combat is all about.

My EDCs, well of the late the cute Boker Gnome. But generally the small SAK, slightly larger SAK (can't remember the model), the leatherman micra (this is the most versatile one). Then when I am traveling, I carry the Leatherman Wave or the SOG paratool.
Other blades that I use regularly are:
Cold Steel Master Hunter with a laminated San Mai 3 VG 10 blade
Mora companion
A khukri made of a railway spring.... Rough use blade.
Toledo Suares bushcraft knife.
Spyderco Delica in ZDP 189
Buck alpha folder in 440 C
Kershaw partially serrated folder, but am not too fond of serrated blades. Bought it many years ago when I hadn't formed an opinion.

Have many more blades, but just enjoy them,

Three Mora, include one 40 years old, laminated carbon steel
Lots of SAK
Three Sheffield knives diff types, hawksley, Rodgers.
Misc other knives
Schrade folder, very old
And other assorted blades, am traveling and cannot remember them all. Will post pics slowly.

Have a good selection of sharpening devices and am very good at sharpening, my blades are all razors. Will post pics of these devices too when I get down to it.
Any time we meet will be happy to show you any blades you'd like to see.

Wow, thats quite a collection sir. Now this post will be incomplete without pictures of your knives and sharpening kits. And we want to see all, just not one or two knives . Btw what kits Lansky, sharpmaker, edgepro or wicked edge ?
