Indians For Guns

Hello Friends at IFG,
I am relatively new to this community. I have been reading the posts by some senior members, especially by Mr.Katana and Mr. Moin, on Archery, Knives & other edged tools for some time now(as Edged weapons are my Passion).I want to compliment and offer my regards to them for sharing such precious knowledge with us.
Coming to the topic now - I am planning to visit Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded in near future and would love to buy some good full utility Swords and Kirpans and other knives.My preference would be good working blade. I need an intel on any good and tested Sikligars or swordsmiths in or around Nanded to buy these from.Please also throw some light on the monetary considerations involved.

dear nihangsikh , just as kalashnikovcult i too belong to nanded , visiting huzur sahab and paying respect at huzur sahab is the only thing that matters to me in entire nanded city ,, as far as swords & knives in & around nanded or around the huzur sahab gurudwara & nagina ghat gurudwara are concerned their is not much to mention , probably during holi ( hola mohalla) when a lot of nihang sikhs & their various jaathas from all over india visit huzur shab the shopkeepers must be keeping good stuff rest nothing worthy of mention, & AS PER MY KNOWLEDGE the nihang sikhs usally dont buy their weapons from any shops i have heard these guys have their own traditional foundry & workshops to make high grade weapons for them all around punjab,, infact i find the shop keepers over there quiet non-cooperative but there are indiviuals who have huge personal collection at their residences , i will write about some of them only after they permit me to do so , aap thik se & aaache tarah se maatha tek ke aao . Thanks for the response Dear Pankajbanjara, I belong to Punjab and I have contacted some persons here but they are either quoting exorbitant prices or are just selling scrap.It is very hard to find a good blade when so many spurious ones are around you. I have heard that there are still some Sikligars living in or around Nanded having expertise in making good Blades. But ofcourse you & kalashnikovcult know better. Also since I am planning to visit Sri Hazur Sahib I wanted to use this opportunity to find something good.Any how by the will of the Almighty I am definitely offering my Prayers at Sachkhand.

Bhaa ji ..have you tried the Budha Dal factory in Patiala ?

Welcome to IFG Nihang and specially to the sharp section of IFG. Thank you for your compliment. I paid my respects in Huzur Saheb about two three months back. The shops around sell absolute junk and at exorbitant prices. To addbto this there is a nexus betwen the shop owners and the local police not suitable mentioning on a public forum. Anyways if you go to Nanded pay your respects at Huzur Saheb. Avoid buying anything from the shops around. Not worth the price or the risk of tiff with the law.

No Bhaji I havenot. Please be kind enough to give its address if it is with you. About this factory; Do they make shasters on machines or are these handmade. Because machine made shasters are often imbalanced and without much of the blade quality.

Pankaj Bhai, it would be great if you can post something about the personal collection of some of your known persons. It will be a good treat for our eyes if we could have some pics of their collection.

They are well known ..address ? Maharaj ki hoya ?tusi nihang singh ho ...tuhaanu Budha Dal da address nahi pata ?
