That is a nice looking Bow there Najad. Sure seems to be shaped a bit like a composite but I think it is a Recurve (or are there some layers in the limbs?).

Why don't you please share your experiences in detail...

Lets also wait till Mack stumbles and compares these with his custom beauties!

just my two paisa...be careful when heating up the PVC to form the bows. too rapid heating & cooling will result in brittle PVC that will fracture when you shoot. even then they don't last long.

edit: the bow pictured in the video will tend to last longer compared to a bow that you are going to heat and flatten to form the limbs.

Nice ones Rusty, with your attention to detailing...

Why are the nocks and grips slightly offset (or is it just camera angle)? Yumi style?

The nocks should have been inline and the 'grip' may have been off-centre to ensure the top of the bow hand (or arrow) was in the centre.

These were made out of CPVC, rather than PVC. Each 'stave' having a smaller dia. pipe fitted into a larger dia. pipe. You can see the pipe with the smaller dia. on the workbench.

The string, if I recall, was from a roller blind that no longer worked.

I had also made a take-down version where the 'limbs' were push fitted into the 'riser', which happened to be a segment of an even larger dia. tube.

Trying to recall how they performed and with which arrows but I am drawing a blank.
