United Cutlery "the expandables kunai throwing set" REVIEWED

Dear Members of IFG,
This my first post on IFG. I have a question please help me out. I've been obsessing over the 12" kunai knives for over 2 years now. I want to buy them but don't know what'll happen next. I know you are not allowed to import knife which is bigger than 9" and wider than 2" & that it shouldn't be for purpose other than agriculture, science, and some more which I don't remember at the moment. I bought undercover kerambit from ebay which was so pleasant transaction. I really need to know whether anyone out there has ever bought a knife bigger than 12" or even 12" from any sites like ebay or amazon or knifecenter etc. Whether you had problems or not & if had problems then what kinds? My lifelong dream is to collect so many different varieties of knives on the planet. I really really (can't stress on word 'really' enough) need this. I'm having dreams about this for over a month now but am scared if I'll get into trouble.
Regards,
Harshvardhan Shekhawat

AFAIK the 12" Kunai knives have a 6.4" blade. It should not be a problem to import the same.

Don't worry the 9 inch limit is only for the blade (sharp edge) but since they are of dagger design, would suggest you get documents ready in advance before ordering mainly no objection certificate from the A.D.C or as such from your district. Rest required can be filled at a moments notice and don't take much time.

What do you mean by no objection certificate? Who is ADC I mean what is it's full form? Sorry but I don't know these things well enough. Thank you so much for the support. Looking forward to post the updates about this.

Nope, apparently I ordered gil hibben competition pro throwers (small) which had a length of 8 1/2" and the customs had it shipped back to the US and now I'm up for refund. I'm really really pissed as the refund amount is so little and they don't even refund the shipping cost which is huge. F7U12 Amazon.com

All right, whatever happens, happens. I've ordered it from the ebay.com . Let us see whether God will make my wish come true or the dialogue from om shanti om (kisi cheez ko sache.....koshish mein lag jati hai) proves to be bogus to sell their movie. I'll post the updates.

what are u doing..???
You need to fight for your rights when i had this problem i sought consultation had to run here and there but i eventually got it.
Since you have already ordered it what u need to do is go the additional deputy commisioner of your distt. or equivalent, You know the dude who issues arm licences or your police station and get in writing a noc stating that no notification under arms act 1959 and so so have been put in the area you are living in to restrict the blade size.
I will post the link to my thread for your reference
fight on Brother...

Yes that's the spirit that one should have. I think I'm not gonna back down now. I am a collecter not a criminal. If it comes down to fighting for my right then so be it. Thanks knifejunkie I hope we meet face to face one day & we show each other the knives we have. Your post has really lit a fire inside me that won't stop until I become a great knife collector.

Now that I've tested these out....
I'd say if you're a collector then it is a great buy but if you think you can throw it too then you'll have a little difficulty. The knives can certainly take a beating. I threw it with absolute rough power on the wood, on 5he wall, on the mutton (LOL yes I did), these stick well but not too well. When I threw it on the wall the tip didn't chip for like 20 to 30 times but it chipped in 40's line of throw count.
Give these 4 out of 5 stars
