My knives - Opinions please!

Hi

Here are the pics of the knives I use as promised in my introductory thread.

A SOG SEAL Pup Elite. Great looking knife, with a very "tactical" feel to it. It works well too, i carried and used it for quite a while

Image

Gerber Prodigy. It has served me well for a long time as u can tell by the damage to the finish!

Image

Two karambhits. Both are Cold Steel. One is the Steel Tiger and the other is the Nightshade karambhit (made of grivory or some other plastic) These are the only 2 I havent/dont use due to their impracticality

Image

Image

This is interesting to look at and hold, but the one i have the least information about! Its a Nieto folder I think, I sanded off the markings years ago.

Image

This leatherman folder is a great tool to carry! Its got a few things added on but not too many that its main function of a knife gets hampered. Just the bare essentials.

Image

Image

These are the Condor Bushlore and Mini Bushlore. Great knives for carving and lightwork, and they look great! They cant take a beating though, due to the fine scandi grind and the soft-ish steel. That does make them super easy to sharpen though.

Image

This beauty is a Benchmade Nimravus. If I could have only one knife this would be it! a big knife can be replaced by an axe, so a good sized, solid knife like this would be my choice. Black aluminium scales and an excellent compliment it perfectly.

Image

A Becker BK9 with factory micarta scales and a little Becker Remora piggybacking in the sheath.

Image

Cold Steel Bushman. Below the bushman is a add-on pouch for an Esee sheath. I wanted to add that to the BK9 sheath but I havent figured out how to yet. Suggestions are welcome! I also wanted to mount the BK9 to my Rush 24 backpack but being the older BK9, it doesnt have the MOLLE system, so suggestions for that too would be appreciated. I was thinking of something using those grommet holes at the top and bottom and some paracord maybe. Attaching a picture of the side of the backpack too, where I want to mount it.

Other than these, there are the usual hoard of SAKs that most knife lovers start with!
Do post your comments and opinions! Id love to hear what you guys think.

Thanks! Im from Delhi but I now stay on a farm in the Himalayan foothills which is how Im able to carry and use beasts like the BK9.

I got the BK9 mounted on the backpack, and the Esee sheath pounch mounted on the BK9 sheath using some paracord. How does it look?

I took the time to take some more pictures of a few that I thought you guys might find interesting. Heres my Condor Heavy Duty Khukri. The second picture shows it in all its thick, full tang delicious-ness!

Image

Image

The next few are an interesting bunch! Except the CRKT, these are some rare and collectible knives. CRKT Dogfish neck knife is my EDC of choice. The other knife is a Royal Navy standard issue knife. I have 3-4 of these from an antiques shop. The brown Victrinox is a knife made for a short time for the German army. Its unique in that the saw and bottle opener are integrated, and everything opens to the same side, unlike other Victorinox. The red Victorinox below that is a model I have zeroed to being manufactured around '70-'75. Notice the squared off philips head screwdriver lcated in the place the modern one has a corkscrew. The other picture shows the unique inlay of what looks like a saint or something where the Victorinox logo should be. Also visible is the tweezer pull, which is aluminium in this older model where the modern one is gray plastic. Ive confirmed both to be genuine Victorinox. If anyone can shed any light on the unique inlay or on the origin of either, Id appreciate it.

Very nice collection m_power. Made my day :) I really like the Condor Khukuri. Interesting design. Especially since it has enough belly and has a steep forward curve.

Thanks for the concern. All of my blades are within the legal limit but even then Ive got papers made for the ones that are at or just under the limit. Its always better and helps avoid harassment. I also dont carry the large blades outside my farm because it scares the "sheeple" !!
